Perfect tip from my boyfriend for any quick lunch or dinner - Easy Cheese Sandwich. It isn’t entirely healthy, but what a heck. It gives you lots of energy for the day. Enjoy!
Total Time: 10 minutes
8 slices of good quality toast bread
4 teaspoons of Dijon Mustard
4 tablespoons of good mayonnaise
4 slices of full flavoured cheese like Gouda, Gruyère, Emental
2 knobs of butter
Pickles to serve it with
Prepare your sandwich breads on a working board. Put a layer of Dijon Mustard on the first half of the sandwich. Mayonnaise on the other one.
Layer with slice of cheese and close them. This way you get 4 sandwiches (8 slices).
Heat up the butter in a frying pan on high heat and place your sandwiches next to each other. Nicely roast them 2 minutes from each side until they get golden, crispy and the cheese starts melting nicely.
Take them out and serve warm with homemade pickles or pickled cabbage. Yummy!
